Crystal Palace yet to decide on the future of Jesurun Rak-Sakyi

Crystal Palace are yet to decide the future of 22-year-old prospect Jesurun Rak-Sakyi amid growing interest from clubs.

According to Football Insider, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is waiting on Crystal Palace’s decision on his future, as a loan or a permanent transfer out of Selhurst Park beckons the winger. The 22-year-old prospect has interest from the likes of Rangers, Wolves and Southampton, as the club might take their time in making a decision.

Jerusun Rak-Sakyi was thought of as a big prospect for the future when he came through their youth ranks, having joined the club from the Chelsea academy. The 22-year-old prospect made his Premier League debut against Chelsea on the opening day of the 2021-22 season, and his first full start came against Manchester United on the last game of the same campaign.

Rak-Sakyi has spent considerable time out on loan to lower league clubs, including spells at Charlton and Sheffield United. He played for the latter last season, which was deemed as a productive season where he got seven goals in the Championship, as the Blades lost out in the Playoffs final to Sunderland.

As for his future, considerable doubts are being cast at the moment, as Crystal Palace are waiting to make a decision. There are some clubs interested, including Southampton in the Championship, while Wolves and Rangers are also keen.

Rangers are eager to take him on loan for the upcoming season, and appear to be the closest to signing the player. However, Wolves are in the mix, and the idea of playing regular minutes in the Premier League will entice the player, which could complicate any move to Ibrox.

Crystal Palace could evaluate offers before Jesurun Rak-Sakyi decision

Crystal Palace reportedly want around £8-10 million to sell Rak-Sakyi, and while they may not have offers for a permanent transfer, the Eagles might wait before making a decision. Rangers are keen to take him on loan, but Palace will want to find the right solution that suits the club rather than the player.

The Eagles could lose some of their key stars, including Arsenal-linked Eberechi Eze, which could potentially even open the doors to keep hold of Rak-Sakyi. Hence, the 22-year-old prospect might have to wait for longer before sorting out his future, as a potential exit could drag on until the latter stages of the window.
