Liverpool keen on Alysson Edward

Gremio talent Alysson Edward is already dreaming of a move to one of the European clubs, as Liverpool are keen on the winger.

Premier League clubs are evolving at a rapid rate with their ideas and how to utilise the transfer market to its fullest. Of late, many of the top teams have sought young talents from other clubs in a bid to develop them in the team’s mould, and view it as an investment for the future.

Not many teams have come out of these ideas in flying colours, with Chelsea one of the prime examples of how to make it work. The Blues have spent plenty of funds on raw talent, and they are already reaping the benefits of their investment.

For instance, the CWC showed glimpses of new arrival Estevao Willian, with the Brazilian already a loan target for Bayer Leverkusen. Liverpool are now planning something similar with one of the top talents from Brazil in the form of Alysson Edwardl.

The Gremio talent is a winger primarily, but he can operate in other positions of the attacking setup, barring maybe the central striker. The club have been actively recruiting to strengthen the first team plans, but the Merseysiders may look to adopt the policy of bright young talents early to aid their development.

As for Alysson Edward, his comments that appeared on GZH via Sport Witness stated he’s already dreaming of a move to Europe. With Liverpool’s interest, his dream might come true sooner rather than later, but there’s a lot of work ahead for the Reds or any other suitor to get the Brazilian wonderkid.

Alysson Edward said, “I do have that desire. It’s a childhood dream, like many players have – and it’s mine too.”

“It’s also a dream to have a beautiful career here first and then live that European dream. I leave everything in God’s hands. Whether I stay here and build a great story or go there, both ways will be good.”

Gremio are eager to keep hold of the winger at least until the end of their season. In any case, there’s a mammoth £50 million-plus release clause in Alysson Edwards’ contract, with the deal itself valid until December 2028.

Liverpool are already keen to tie down young winger Rio Ngumoha, who plays on the left flank. The club will think about planning for the succession of Mohamed Salah in the coming period, and should they sign someone like Alysson Edward, they could attempt to develop the winger into the mould of how Arne Slot wants the Salah replacement.
