Juventus seeking discount to seal Yves Bissouma deal

Serie A giants Juventus will reportedly look to sign 28-year-old Malian international Yves Bissouma from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Gazzetta dello Sport, as relayed by Sport Witness, Yves Bissouma is the subject of interest from Juventus. The Serie A giants are keen on bolstering their first-team squad by signing a holding midfielder in the summer transfer window. So, the 28-year-old Tottenham midfielder has emerged as a target for the Bianconeri.

However, the Serie A giants do not want to pay over €15 million to secure Bissouma’s services in the summer transfer window. Juventus will aim to ensure an acceptable price from Tottenham by using Damien Comolli’s connections with Daniel Levy. The African midfielder will take a non-EU spot, something that they “have to take into account, before making further advances”.

Yves Bissouma and his Tottenham travails

Yves Bissouma has not lived up to the expectations since joining Tottenham Hotspur from Brighton & Hove Albion in July 2022. While the 28-year-old has shown flashes of brilliance in the last three years, he has not been as consistent as he would have liked during his stint with them.

The Malian international has turned out 100 times thus far for Tottenham while chipping in with one goal. However, Bissouma faces an uncertain future at the North London club, as they are open to cashing in on him in the summer transfer window. The situation has piqued the attention of several high-profile clubs, with Juventus among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.

Serie A adventure on the horizon?

Juventus’s interest in Yves Bissouma makes sense. The Serie A giants are scouring the market for a holding midfielder this summer amid uncertainties surrounding Douglas Luiz’s long-term situation. The Brazilian international has no future at the Allianz Stadium, and Juventus will hope to cash in on him in the summer transfer window.

So, several candidates are on Juventus’s radar, with Bissouma also emerging as a viable target. However, the Italian heavyweights do not want to meet Tottenham’s asking price, with recent reports suggesting the Lilywhites want around €15-20 million to part ways with the former Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder.

Juventus would prefer not to fork out anything over €15 million to secure Bissouma’s services in the summer transfer window. The 28-year-old Malian international will take a non-EU spot, and the Serie A giants “have to take into account, before making further advances”. The Bianconeri will hope to use Daniel Comolli’s connections with Daniel Levy to get a discount on the fee.
