Everton and Fulham are among the teams keen on exploring a move for Salvatore Esposito from Serie B side Spezia.

According to Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Salvatore Esposito is emerging as a viable target for some of the Premier League teams. Everton and Fulham are among those keen on the 24-year-old midfielder from Serie B club Spezia, as the midfielder is eager to leave and take on a new challenge.

Salvatore Epsosito is viewed as a top talent by those watching the game in Italy. Having spent the previous campaign with Serie B club Spezia, the 24-year-old midfielder is keen to enter the frame at a top-flight club, as a number of those from the Premier League are keeping close tabs.

The report claims a potential loan deal with an option to buy could be on the cards, although a permanent move away from Spezia is also a possibility. Esposito has a solitary Italian national team cap when he featured in the goalless draw against England back in 2022.

The midfielder has different facets to his game as he takes up a variety of positions in the middle, including the defensive midfielder as well as the advanced No.10 role. Hence, it is no surprise to see some of the Premier League sides angling for a move for him that includes the likes of Fulham and Everton.

Fulham are in the mix for a new midfielder to bolster their setup following links with former player Joao Palhinha. Marco Silva wants a different option in his team, as the Cottagers were among many other teams chasing new Brentford signing Jordan Henderson as a viable option.

Fulham might be seen as a good enough destination for the 24-year-old midfielder from Serie B club Spezia, but he could have more options on his table, such as Everton. David Moyes wants to add quality players into the mix, and a midfielder is certainly on his agenda. They had been interested in John McGinn, but Aston Villa are unlikely to entertain offers.

There is also interest in James McAtee, who might reportedly prefer a switch to Germany. Moyes is probably looking for someone with different qualities, and Esposito might fit the bill, as a reasonable deal could be achieved for the 24-year-old midfielder.
