West Ham United will reportedly complete a deal worth €25 million, including add-ons, to sign 20-year-old Senegalese international El Hadji Malick Diouf from Slavia Praha.

According to an update by reputed French journalist Santi Aouna, El Hadji Malick Diouf will be the latest player to join West Ham United this year. The Hammers have struck an agreement to sign the 20-year-old Slavia Praha left-back in a deal worth around €25 million, including add-ons.

The Ziguinchor native has travelled to London to undergo his medical tests at West Ham today before completing his move to the East London club. Diouf will sign a long-term contract with the Hammers.

El Hadji Malick Diouf and his European journey so far

El Hadji Malick Diouf has seen his stock soar since moving to Europe in February 2023. The 20-year-old full-back has been with Slavia Praha since January 2024, and he has come leaps and bounds in the last 18 months, having been a regular for the Czech outfit in the 2024/25 campaign.

Diouf has turned out 50 times thus far for Slavia Praha while chipping in with nine goals and four assists. Meanwhile, the Senegalese international has also broken into his national squad, and his progress has piqued the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. The youngster will move to the Premier League soon, with West Ham United striking an agreement to secure his services.

London calling

West Ham United’s interest in El Hadji Malick Diouf is understandable. The Hammers have parted ways with Aaron Cresswell this summer. In addition, Emerson Palmieri faces an uncertain future at the London Stadium, with a summer departure on the cards. So, Oliver Scarles is the only recognised left-back in Graham Potter’s squad.

Diouf thus emerged as a viable target for West Ham, although the Hammers failed with their opening bid to secure his services. Recent reports revealed their readiness to submit an improved offer, and the new proposal has done the trick. The highly-rated left-back will join the East London club in a deal worth €25 million, including add-ons.
