Benjamin Sesko offered to Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United
Intermediaries have reportedly offered Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United the chance to sign Benjamin Sesko after Arsenal snubbed him in favour of Viktor Gyokeres.
According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United have the opportunity to sign Benjamin Sesko in the summer transfer window. Intermediaries have offered the RB Leipzig striker to the three Premier League bigwigs after Arsenal snubbed him in favour of Viktor Gyokeres.
The rise of Benjamin Sesko
Benjamin Sesko has established himself as one of the most exciting young strikers in the world over the last half a decade. The 22-year-old rose in prominence during his spell with Red Bull Salzburg before seeing his stock soar after moving to sister club RB Leipzig two years ago.
The Slovenian international enjoyed a solid 2024/25 campaign, contributing to 27 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net 21 times and providing six assists. Meanwhile, Sesko’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs, including Arsenal.
However, Arsenal will not sign the Radece native in the summer transfer window after coming close to signing Viktor Gyokeres. Instead, intermediaries have offered the RB Leipzig striker to Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United.
Premier League move on the horizon?
Chelsea can do with a striker like Benjamin Sesko in the summer transfer window, despite signing Liam Delap and Joao Pedro earlier this summer. However, Nicolas Jackson faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge amid his links with Barcelona. So, Sesko is an option worth considering. As for Liverpool, Darwin Nunez faces an uncertain future at Anfield after a dreadful 2024/25 campaign.
So, Liverpool can do with a striker like Sesko, who can be a long-term solution for the Merseyside club. Meanwhile, Manchester United will aim to sign a striker this summer after Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund failed to impress in front of the goal in the 2024/25 season. So, Sesko is an option worth considering for Manchester United.
Arsenal’s decision to snub the 22-year-old Slovenian international clears the way for the other Premier League clubs. However, it is unclear if Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United are ready to launch an offensive to sign the highly-rated striker.
