Bayern Munich interested in Christopher Nkunku, Malo Gusto

Bayern Munich will reportedly look to sign Christopher Nkunku and Malo Gusto in a combined deal worth €100 million from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Christopher Nkunku and Malo Gusto are subjects of interest from Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions are keen on reinforcing their first-team squad by signing a versatile attacker and a right-back in the summer transfer window. So, the Chelsea duo has emerged on the Bavarian club’s radar, and they are ready to offer €100 million to secure their services.

Christopher Nkunku has hit a brick wall since joining Chelsea from RB Leipzig in a hyped move in July 2023. Fitness issues hampered the 27-year-old in his debut season, and he was in and out of the starting lineup in the 2024/25 campaign. However, he was productive last term.

Nkunku contributed to 20 goals in 2,314 minutes of game time across 47 appearances in all competitions by finding the back of the net 15 times and providing five assists. On the other hand, Malo Gusto has been in and out of the starting lineup since joining Chelsea from Lyon in January 2023.

The 22-year-old has turned out nearly 100 times thus far for Chelsea while chipping in with 12 assists. However, Gusto’s long-term future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain, and he may reunite with his compatriot at Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window. The Bavarian giants are ready to offer a combined €100 million to sign the two Frenchmen from Chelsea.

Bayern Munich’s interest in Christopher Nkunku and Malo Gusto is understandable. The Bavarian giants are scouring the market for a versatile attacker and a right-back this summer. Jamal Musiala’s untimely injury at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup has forced Bayern Munich to look for a short-term replacement.

So, Nkunku is a viable target, with the French international keen on joining Bayern Munich. As for the eagerness to sign Gusto, Vincent Kompany needs a new right-back after using makeshift options for most of the 2024/25 campaign. So, Gusto is an option worth considering for Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga champions are ready to offer €100 million to sign the French compatriots from Chelsea in the summer transfer window. However, it is unclear if Chelsea will sanction the duo’s departures from Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks.
