Napoli cool interest in Jadon Sancho, Juventus submit fresh offer

Napoli and Juventus have reportedly been interested in signing 25-year-old English playmaker Jadon Sancho from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Sky Sport Italia, Juventus and Manchester United have been in contact again over a possible move for Jadon Sancho in the summer transfer window. The Serie A giants have submitted a bid worth €10 million plus add-ons to sign the English international in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football has suggested that the Englishman is no longer the subject of interest from Napoli. The Serie A champions are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the summer transfer window. However, the 25-year-old Manchester United flop is not a target for the Partenopei anymore due to his high wages.

Jadon Sancho and his situation

Jadon Sancho has been a dreadful signing since joining Manchester from Borussia Dortmund in July 2021. The 25-year-old arrived at Old trafford amid much hype and fanfare surrounding him. However, poor form and attitude issues led to his downfall at Manchester United, as he has spent the last 18 months away from Manchester United, turning out for Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea.

The English international showed flashes of brilliance in the 2024/25 season but could not convince Chelsea to seal a permanent deal this summer. Sancho managed only five goals and ten assists in 41 appearances across all competitions, and he has returned to Manchester United. However, his stock in the market remains reasonably high, with Juventus and Napoli vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

Serie A move on the horizon?

Napoli joined the battle to land Jadon Sancho last month. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia joined Paris Saint-Germain earlier this year, leaving a gaping hole in the offensive unit at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. So, the Serie A champions have been scouring the market for a new wide attacker this summer. However, the Manchester United flop is no longer a target for Napoli due to his high wages.

As for Juventus, the Serie A heavyweights have yet to complete a permanent move for Francisco Conceicao, with Sancho emerging as an alternative on their wishlist. The Italian outfit and Manchester United have been in contact over a possible move for the Englishman again this week, with the Bianconeri offering a deal worth €10 million plus add-ons to the Red Devils.

Recent reports have suggested that a move to Juventus worth €25 million may be on the cards for Sancho. So, it is unclear if the Serie A giants have offered €10 million plus add-ons and whether Manchester United will accept the bid.
