Fulham, West Ham United set to lose race to sign Noa Lang to Napoli

Fulham and West Ham United have reportedly lost the battle to sign 26-year-old Dutch winger Noa Lang from PSV Eindhoven, as he has picked Napoli as his next club.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Fulham and West Ham United have been keen on signing Noa Lang in the summer transfer window. The PSV Eindhoven winger has also been a target for Nottingham Forest. However, the Dutchman is on the verge of moving to Serie A after picking Napoli as his next destination.

Noa Lang and his rise at PSV Eindhoven

Noa Lang has come leaps and bounds since joining PSV Eindhoven from Club Brugge in July 2023. The Dutch winger has been one of the best players in the Eredivisie in the last two years, and he was instrumental in PSV’s title-winning effort in the 2024/25 campaign.

The 26-year-old was exceptional in the 2024/25 campaign, contributing to 26 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net 14 times and providing 12 assists. Meanwhile, Lang’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs. Fulham, West Ham United, and Napoli have been among his prospective suitors in the summer transfer window.

A man in demand

Fulham can do with a player like the Dutch winger as Marco Silva attempts to take his team to the next level. While Alex Iwobi has been excellent on the flanks, the Cottagers need more quality in the final third. So, several candidates, including Pepe, have emerged on Fulham’s radar, with Lang also a viable target.

Meanwhile, West Ham United’s interest in Noa Lang makes sense. The Hammers have parted ways with Mohammed Kudus, who has joined Tottenham Hotspur this summer. So, several options, including Tyler Dibling, are on West Ham United’s radar, with Lang also an option worth considering for the East London outfit.

As for Napoli, the Partenopei did not replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia when he joined Paris Saint-Germain earlier this year. So, several candidates, including Jadon Sancho, have emerged on Napoli’s radar. However, the Serie A champions have zeroed in on Lang as their next offensive reinforcement, with an agreement with PSV Eindhoven close.

Apart from the 26-year-old Dutchman, Dan Ndoye will also bolster the Napoli attack in the summer transfer window. It will be interesting to see who Fulham and West Ham identify as their next offensive target.
