Antony ready to take pay cut to join Real Betis

Manchester United attacker Antony has been linked with a permanent exit from the club in recent weeks.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Spanish club Real Betis and was quite impressive during his time there. He played a key role in helping them reach the final of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

There is no doubt that he was an important player for Betis, and the Spanish outfit are now hoping to sign him permanently for the upcoming season. According to a report from Fichajes, the 25-year-old Brazilian attacker is even willing to take a pay cut in order to join the Spanish club on a permanent deal.

Antony does not appear to have a future at Manchester United, and it would make sense for him to move on. Meanwhile, the Red Devils are looking to cash in on the player as well. His big-money move from Ajax has not worked out, and it would be ideal for both parties to go their separate ways.

Antony would be a quality option for Betis

Despite his struggles in England, Antony is still a quality player, as he showed last season in Spain. Returning to a familiar and comfortable environment could be the best decision for him. He was clearly enjoying his football at Betis and will be keen to continue performing at a high level.

With the World Cup coming up next year, he will be eager to re-establish himself as a regular for both club and country. It will be interesting to see if Real Betis can strike a deal with Manchester United in the coming weeks. The Spanish side do not have limitless resources, so they will be hoping to sign him for a reasonable fee.

Manchester United are unlikely to recoup the fee they paid to sign him from Ajax, and they may have to accept a significant loss. However, they should look to cut their losses and move on.

The player is clearly very keen on the move, and he will be hoping that the two clubs can reach an agreement soon.
