Manchester United are leading the race to sign highly-rated teenagers Seth Ridgeon from Fulham and Tyrese Noubissie from Manchester City.
According to The Athletic, Manchester United are lining up moves for highly-rated teenagers Seth Ridgeon and Tyrese Noubissie from Fulham and Manchester City, respectively. The moves are spearheaded by United’s head of academy recruitment, Luke Fedorenko, and director of academy Nick Cox, with talks underway.
Manchester United are focused on strengthening their academy and youth ranks with some players from other British academies. Over the past few years, they have been very much active in recruiting some of the talented youngsters to their setup, with the likes of Chido Obi-Martin and Ayden Heaven transfers from Arsenal a clear example of that.
Now, the Red Devils are in active talks to sign highly-rated teenagers Seth Ridgeon and Tyrese Noubissie from Fulham and Manchester City, respectively. The two 16-year-old prospects have been impressive, and it appears they are open to leaving their current surroundings for different reasons.
The highly-rated teenagers are not the only young talents they are after, with Southampton’s Harley Emsden-James being another target, while other top talents from fellow British academies are also on their list. The Red Devils are also keen on AZ Alkmaar’s Kees Smit after a terrific display at the Under-19 Euros.
As for Ridgeon and Noubissie, the highly-rated teenagers are keen on different challenges, and were invited to Old Trafford for a club tour. The moves are spearheaded by United’s head of academy recruitment, Luke Fedorenko and director of academy Nick Cox, with the latter leading the talks. Director of Football Jason Wilcox was also present during the time, while manager Ruben Amorim made a brief appearance.
Manchester United are favourites for highly-rated teenagers
Ridgeon is an attacking midfielder, and he has shown enough promise to warrant interest from top clubs. Fulham are eager to keep hold of him, but they also know that a big offer from someone like Manchester United will be difficult for the player to turn down.
Meanwhile, Noubissie has continental links as well due to his eligibility for other citizenship, due to which has attracted European clubs to his door. The Manchester City prodigy is unhappy with his development and lack of opportunities at the club, despite only signing with them in 2023 from Leicester City. Manchester United are part of the competition, but are considered ahead in the chase at the moment and favourites to land the teenagers.
