Liverpool have made a massive impact on the summer transfer window with some notable signings to strengthen Arne Slot’s title-winning squad. They were quick to snap up full-back pair Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez, which solves a few issues at the back following some changes to the setup.
The big coup arrived in the form of the signing of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen in a club-record deal. There are talks of signing a new striker, with Alexander Isak being their dream target, but Hugo Ekitike is also considered a realistic option for the Reds.
The club are also focused on the ranks behind the first teamers as they are eager to continue the good work with the youth squads. Last summer, they signed Rio Ngumoha from Chelsea, with the talented winger seen as a highly rated prospect for the future.
Chelsea were reportedly angry at the prospect of losing the teenager last year, and now Liverpool are taking the next steps to ensure the technically gifted attacker remains at the club for the long run. Ngumoha made his senior debut in the FA Cup against Acrington Stanley, and there are plenty more appearances waiting next season.
