Stade Brestois 29 goalkeeper Marco Bizot is reportedly closing in on joining Aston Villa in a cost-effective deal in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Jacob Tanswell from The Athletic, Marco Bizot is the subject of interest from Aston Villa. The Villans are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a goalkeeper in the summer transfer window. So, the 34-year-old Stade Brestois 29 shot-stopper has emerged as a target for the West Midlands outfit.

The rising Premier League giants are finalising an agreement to sign the veteran Dutchman from the Ligue 1 club in the summer transfer window. Bizot will join Aston Villa “for a low-cost fee”, and he will replace Robin Olsen as Emiliano Martinez’s deputy in the 2024/25 season.

Marco Bizot has established himself as one of the most reliable goalkeepers in Ligue 1 since joining Stade Brestois 29 from AZ Alkmaar in August 2021. The Dutch goalkeeper has turned out nearly 150 times thus far for Brest while keeping 40 clean sheets and conceding 213 goals.
