Chelsea want €60 million to sell Noni Madueke, Arsenal preparing opening bid

Arsenal are preparing to submit an opening bid for Noni Madueke, with Chelsea demanding a hefty €60 million for the winger.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Arsenal are all set to hold talks with Chelsea for Noni Madueke. The North London club are gearing up to submit an initial offer after following the green light from the player.

Madueke made a name for himself at PSV Eindhoven. His impressive performances put him on the radar of the Blues, who signed him at the start of 2023. While the 23-year-old right-winger has done a decent job over the years, he hasn’t reached the expected levels.

With the Blues making significant additions to their attack this summer, Madueke is no longer an important part of their plans moving ahead. Despite him having five years left on his deal, the London club are ready to sanction his departure.

They value him at around €60 million. While the asking price is certainly a touch on the higher side, it hasn’t had an impact on Arsenal’s pursuit of the English international’s signature. The Gunners are looking for a versatile forward to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s team, and Madueke is considered an ideal fit for them.

Not only can he cover for Bukayo Saka, the 23-year-old can even compete for a starting spot on the left flank. The North London club have been working on a potential deal for some time. They were in talks with the player and have managed to convince them about their project.

Madueke has given the green light and is ready to sign a contract that will run until 2030. While he is currently focused on doing his best for the Blues at the Club World Cup, he has an eye on his potential move to the London rivals.

While the Gunners are yet to table an official offer, their opening bid is being prepared and could be presented during the talks between the two clubs scheduled for next week. The deal is very much on, and it will be interesting to see how things unfold.
