Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Douglas Luiz in a deal that would see outcast Jadon Sancho move the other way.

According to Corriere dello Sport via Sport Witness, Juventus are keen on acquiring the services of Jadon Sancho and are willing to offer Douglas Luiz in a swap deal. Manchester United are interested in the former Aston Villa midfielder and are currently considering the proposal.

The Red Devils broke the bank to sign Sancho from Borussia Dortmund back in 2021. While they had a lot of expectations from the English international, things haven’t gone according to plan. The 25-year-old spent the last season out on loan at Chelsea.

Sancho did put in a few impressive performances as he finished with five goals and 10 assists in his 41 outings. The Blues had an obligation to buy, but they chose to pay a fine to send him back to Old Trafford. While he is back at United, the English winger doesn’t have a future there.

With him entering the final year of his deal, Ruben Amorim’s team are looking to cash in on him. Juventus have emerged as a potential destination for the former Dortmund winger. The Old Lady seek more quality on the flanks, and they feel Sancho could certainly help their cause.

Juventus are ready to let Luiz join United

The Italian giants are plotting a swap deal involving Douglas Luiz. The Turin-based club paid a significant fee to sign him from Aston Villa last summer. While he was expected to be one of their mainstays, the move hasn’t gone according to plan.

Luiz has failed to establish himself in their first team. The 27-year-old could only manage just over 800 minutes of action across his 26 outings last season. While he still has four years left on his deal, Juventus are ready to sanction his departure, and the player is also open to a potential return to England.

With Juventus keen on signing Sancho, they are looking to use Luiz to help their cause. The Red Devils do need more quality in midfield, and they are considering the offer. However, there isn’t anything concrete at this stage.

Back in January, it was reported that Luiz would be tempted by a move to Old Trafford, which is certainly a boost for United. Apart from that, he is represented by Sports Invest UK Ltd, the same agency as Joshua Zirkee. It will certainly help their cause. While discussions over a potential swap deal are ongoing, it remains unclear whether the agreement will include any cash from either side.
