Chelsea ready to loan out Aaron Anselmino, Borussia Dortmund among three clubs keen

Chelsea are ready to loan out Aaron Anselmino this summer to help him gain valuable experience as Borussia Dortmund is among the teams interested.

According to Caught Offside, Chelsea intends to loan out defensive talent Aaron Anselmino to help him develop and gain valuable experience at the top level. Borussia Dortmund are among the teams keen to land the promising 20-year-old recent signing, with Marseille and Real Betis the other sides eager.

Aaron Anselmino is considered one of the top talents to come out of Argentina in recent years. The young defensive sensation agreed to join Chelsea last summer but remained with former side Boca Juniors on loan until their league season ended in January.

Since his return to Chelsea, Enzo Maresca has barely used him, with a couple of minutes in the ongoing CWC probably his first minutes for the senior side. The manager does not view him as ready for first-team action at the moment, which has fueled the idea of the club loaning him out.

Chelsea were keen to send him on loan back in January, as he failed to make the move to Marseille then. The French giants are among those still interested, but Chelsea might explore the idea of letting the 20-year-old recent signing join sister club Strasbourg.

There’s a distinct possibility of the player getting out of the Chelsea system and trying to make his mark at a top club where there will be intense competition for places. Real Betis are seen as another contender, but it appears Borussia Dortmund might be the most attractive destination at the moment.

Borussia Dortmund are keen on Aaron Anselmino

Borussia Dortmund are eager to take the opportunity to sign Anselmino in this window on loan for the whole season. The idea of the defender joining them would be seen as a beneficial move for all parties concerned, as the competitive atmosphere at the Bundesliga side will help him aid his development.

Chelsea might secretly prefer Anselmino join sister club Strasbourg, but they are prioritising the player’s development above everything else. Hence, for the defender to gain the know-how of playing at a top level, they might view the idea of a Dortmund or Marseille as conducive for the 20-year-old’s development in the upcoming season.
