How much have PSG already earned from Club World Cup?
Paris Saint-Germain swept aside Inter Miami (4-0) in their FIFA Club World Cup Round of 16 tie. It is a win that sees them go ever closer to earning the ‘World Champions’ title, but it is also a win that further bolsters the club’s economic standing.
PSG have already played four games in the inaugural edition of the tournament in the USA. Their fifth game will come in a quarter-final encounter against Bayern Munich this weekend. However, before even kicking a ball, the UEFA Champions League winner’s run in the Club World Cup has already earned them almost €50m, €47.7m, to be exact, as per L’Équipe.
Simply by participating in the competition, Les Parisiens earned over €26m and should they go all the way and win the competition, just for winning the final alone, they would pocket another €34.1m. The first-place finish in the group stage saw the club earn €6.4m, whilst victories against Atletico Madrid and Seattle Sounders during that phase brought them a further €3.4m. The win against Inter Miami was worth €11.2m.
