Manchester United preparing €65 million offer for Bryan Mbeumo
Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United are all set to table an offer worth €65 million to sign Brentford ace Bryan Mbeumo.
Manchester United have been working on a deal to sign Bryan Mbeumo for some time. While they haven’t been able to strike a deal with Brentford thus far, the Red Devils are not looking to give up just yet.
According to a report from Fichajes, Ruben Amorim’s team are preparing a €65 million offer to convince the Bees to sell the Cameroonian forward. They are hoping the revised offer could help get a deal over the line in the near future.
Mbeumo has been a part of the Brentford setup since 2019, but he has really come into prominence in recent seasons. He has taken over from Ivan Toney as their main man in attack. Last season, the 25-year-old forward contributed towards 28 goals in his 38 league outings.
He was one of the major reasons why they could secure a top-half finish. His impressive performances have put him on the radar of multiple top clubs. However, it seems Manchester United are the ones that are most interested in his signature.
Ruben Amorim feels Mbeumo could be the perfect fit for the right side of his attack. He has all the qualities needed to succeed in the Portuguese manager’s system. As a result, the Red Devils have been working very hard to secure his services.
United to table a revised offer for Mbeumo
While the 25-year-old is keen on making the move to Old Trafford, the Manchester-based giants haven’t been able to strike a deal with Brentford. The Bees are reluctant to sell, but they would let him leave if their demands are met.
United’s initial offer wasn’t good enough, and it was straightaway rejected. However, they haven’t given up and are preparing to submit a revised offer worth €65 million. Amorim’s team are hoping the new offer will be good enough to get a deal over the line.
While reports earlier suggested that Tottenham could hijack the deal, having appointed Thomas Frank as their new boss, Manchester United are still very much in the race, and the revised offer could do the trick.
