Jarell Quansah set to undergo Bayer Leverkusen medical on Monday

Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah is reportedly all set to complete his move to Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen on Monday.

According to an update by reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool homegrown prospect Jarell Quansah will undergo his medical with the German club tomorrow, and Liverpool will receive a package of around £35 million for the player.

Liverpool have an option to bring him back to the club in future, but the deal could cost them around £70 million.

The 22-year-old needs to play regularly at this stage of his career, and the move to Germany could prove to be a wise decision. He will look to establish himself as a regular starter for the German club and prove his qualities in Germany.

He has shown his ability during his cameos with Liverpool, and there is no doubt that he has the quality to thrive in the Bundesliga.

Leverkusen will look to get the best out of him and develop him into one of the best young defenders in European football. He was highly rated at Liverpool when he came through the ranks, and the player will look to justify the hype surrounding him.

Liverpool need to replace Quansah

Meanwhile, Liverpool will need to fill the void left by him, and they have been linked with the Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi. The 24-year-old will be a free agent next year, and he is expected to move on for a reasonable amount of money this summer. Liverpool are hoping to get the deal done.

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can improve their squad adequately before the new season begins. They have had an impressive start to the window, and they have already brought in quality players like Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old defender will certainly hope that he can fulfil his potential in Germany over the next few seasons and join an elite club in future. Liverpool have a buy-back clause for him, and they could look to exercise it if he manages to establish himself as one of the best defenders in Europe.
