The Serie A giants have been keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a striker in the summer transfer window. So, the 22-year-old Manchester United centre-forward emerged as a target for the Nerazzurri.

However, the Italian heavyweights are cooling their interest in the struggling Dane, as they will likely keep Francesco Pio Esposito, whose progress has impressed the decision-makers at San Siro. So, with Ange-Yoan Bonny closing in on joining Inter Milan from Parma Calcio, they do not need to sign another striker in the summer transfer window.

Rasmus Hojlund and his Manchester United woes

Rasmus Hojlund has endured dramatic peaks and troughs since joining Manchester United from Atalanta in August 2023. The 22-year-old enjoyed an excellent debut season at Old Trafford but was dreadful in his second campaign with the Red Devils.
