Neom SC interested in Joao Felix, Al-Nassr could also make move

Al-Nassr and Neom SC are reportedly interested in signing 25-year-old Portuguese international Joao Felix from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by talkSPORT, Joao Felix is the subject of interest from Neom SC. The rising Saudi club will aim to sign several high-profile players in the summer transfer window as they prepare for a challenge in the Saudi Pro League in the 2024/25 season. So, the 25-year-old Chelsea misfit has emerged as a target for the NEOM-based outfit.

However, Neom SC will not be the only Saudi Pro League club vying for Felix’s signature, with Al-Nassr also vying for his signature. However, the big-spending Saudi giants will only launch the offensive to land the former Benfica wonderkid if they fail to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Joao Felix and his struggles

Joao Felix has failed to hit the heights of his spell with SL Benfica since leaving the Primeira Liga club over half a dozen years ago. The 25-year-old did not live up to the billing at Atletico Madrid, and he barely lasted in his debut season with Chelsea since returning to Stamford Bridge last summer.

A loan spell with AC Milan in the second half of the 2024/25 season did not hit the spot either, and he managed only three goals and one assist in 21 appearances across all competitions. However, Felix’s stock in the market is reasonably high, with several well-known clubs vying for his signature in the summer transfer window. However, a move to Saudi Arabia may be on the cards.

What next?

Recent reports have linked Joao Felix with SL Benfica, with the Primeira Liga giants keen on bringing him back to Estadio da Luz. However, rising Saudi club Neom SC and big-spending Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr are keen on signing the struggling Chelsea attacker in the summer transfer window.

However, Al-Nassr will only launch the offensive to land the Chelsea misfit if they fail to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool in the summer transfer window. As for Neom SC, they are keen on bolstering their first-team squad as they prepare to sustain the challenge of remaining in the Saudi Pro League beyond the 2025/26 season.

Recent reports have linked Neom SC with Andre Onana and other high-profile players. So, with Chelsea eager to cash in on the 25-year-old Portuguese international, a summer move to the Saudi Pro League may be on the cards.
