Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea will only move for Victor Osimhen on one condition
Premier League giants Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are still keen on Victor Osimhen but will not pay exorbitant wages.
According to Corriere dello Sport via Sport Witness, Victor Osimhen still has big suitors from the Premier League ahead of the summer. The likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are eager to lure the Nigerian but they are not willing to pay exorbitant wages that have made the headlines with regards to the striker.
The curious case of Victor Osimhen rumbles on as the transfer window enters its next phase. In a market where many of the top teams are keen on signing a prolific goalscorer, the Nigerian, who scored 37 times across all competitions while on loan at Galatasaray last season is not talked about much.
That may be due to the events in the early part of the window designed for clubs participating in the CWC 2025 in particular. During that period, Al-Hilal showed massive interest and presented multiple offers with exorbitant salary packages for Osimhen to consider, which he ended up rejecting.
While early reports stated he might have wanted an even higher salary, the other stories indicated that the Nigerian is willing to continue in Europe. Hence, the prospect of joining a Premier League side remains high on the agenda.
The likes of Liverpool have stayed interested, although the Merseysiders alongside Manchester United and Chelsea are willing to sign him although they do not wish to pay exorbitant salaries. Hence, in the upcoming transfer period, teams like Liverpool could make an offer that may prove to be a chance for the 26-year-old goal machine to make the move to the Premier League champions without the prospect of a big salary.
Manchester United and Chelsea still in the mix for Victor Osimhen
Manchester United are also keen on Osimhen, as they continue their search for a new striker. The Red Devils are otherwise more receptive to paying huge wages, and that could be a big sign in the Osimhen chase. However, they too are maneuvering carefully with their finances, which could see them stall on making him an over-the-top offer.
Chelsea have been interested since last summer when they failed to agree on personal terms with the 26-year-old goal machine. However, they could make a renewed approach for the attacker to find out if there’s a possibility to bring him in. Osimhen, for his part, will certainly demand a salary similar to his current pay package, which could see the Blues bow out of the race as it would break their wage structure.
