Crystal Palace, Tottenham in contact to seal Kyle Walker-Peters deal, West Ham United cool interest

Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur remain in talks to sign Kyle Walker-Peters, with West Ham United pulling out of the race.

Kyle Walker-Peters is all set to be a free agent in a few days, and multiple Premier League clubs are ready to offer him an opportunity to continue in the English top flight. Crystal Palace, West Ham United, and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with the English full-back.

According to a report from Give Me Sport, the Eagles are pushing hard to sign the Spurs academy graduate, and they do have a boost as rivals West Ham United have decided to pull out of the race.

However, they will certainly face a lot of competition from Tottenham, who are keen on re-signing him and remain in contact with the 28-year-old, as per a report from Graeme Bailey on TBR Football. Kyle Walker-Peters seems keen on securing a return to his childhood club, which can certainly help their cause.

Southampton, who secured his services in a £12 million deal in the summer of 2020 after an impressive loan spell, are all set to lose out on Walker-Peters for free. The English full-back has no intentions of playing in the Championship, and with the club failing to survive the drop, he has decided against signing a new deal.

Crystal Palace are working on a deal to sign Walker-Peters

Kyle Walker-Peters’s departure has already been confirmed, and with the Englishman set to be available for free, multiple clubs are ready to battle for his signature. Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner and key figures at the club have been in contact with the 28-year-old as they look to convince him about a move to Selhurst Park.

Following Joel Ward’s departure, Glasner is keen on signing the soon-to-be free agent. The club wanted to know if he is willing to compete with Daniel Munoz for a place in the starting XI, as they are ready to offer him the opportunity to continue in the Premier League.

While Crystal Palace do not have any clarity on whether he would be interested in joining them, they have been given some hope after West Ham decided to pull out of the race. The Hammers did see it as a great opportunity, but Graham Potter’s team have eventually decided against signing him.

Tottenham to rival Crystal Palace for Kyle Walker-Peters

West Ham United might not trouble Crystal Palace, but Spurs certainly will as the player is reportedly keen on returning to his childhood club. The North London club are looking for more quality and depth on the right flank, and they are in talks to bring him back.

The 28-year-old would be counted as a club-trained player in the UEFA Champions League squad, allowing Thomas Frank to have a bigger squad. His ability to feature on either flank and his experience could come in handy. Daniel Levy is always looking for opportunities in the market, and he certainly won’t want to miss out on this one.
