Ray Parlour urges Arsenal to sign Benjamin Sesko

Former Arsenal star Ray Parlour has urged the club to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig during the summer transfer window.

It is no secret that Arsenal need a quality striker this summer, and the Slovenian International could prove to be an excellent acquisition. He is one of the best young attacking talents in European football right now, and he has proved his quality in German football. He has the technical attributes to do well in the Premier League as well, and he could be a key player for Arsenal in the long term.

Parlour said via : “He is very quick and strong, so he could fit into the Premier League. He is only 21 as well, so you can probably coach him. Gyokeres played for Coventry City and knows the English game. He has been brilliant for Sporting and, obviously, Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim knows him.

“But, from an Arsenal point of view, I would probably go for Sesko. I know Real Madrid look like they’re interested as well, which is not a good sign because Leipzig will suddenly look for a bidding war. You don’t want to get involved in that because you can end up spending £10 million over the odds, but I would probably go for him.

“Having an out-and-out striker has been the weak link for Arsenal. If they had Thierry Henry in the side, they would probably win the Premier League, but it’s hard to get strikers and there are not a lot of good options out there. Isak is the one everybody wants, but Newcastle have got a real asset there and want to keep him.”

Arsenal need a reliable striker

Arsenal has been linked with multiple strikers in recent weeks. It will be interesting to see who they end up signing eventually. The striker had 27 goal contributions last season, and he could improve with coaching and experience. He has all the tools to develop into a world-class player in future. Joining one of the biggest clubs in the world would be quite exciting for him. Arsenal could provide him with the platform to fight for major trophies. They are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and they have been fighting for the league title and the Champions League. The opportunity to join them will be hard to turn down for the player.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks.

Arsenal certainly have the finances to get the deal across the line, and they should wrap up the move quickly. They need a quality striker if they are serious about winning major trophies next season. They have looked toothless in the attack at times, and it is an area of the pitch that is in desperate need of strengthening.
