Inter Milan establish contact over Rasmus Hojlund move
Inter Milan have made contact with Manchester United over a potential loan move for Rasmus Hojlund with an obligation to buy in the works.
According to The Daily Mirror, Manchester United were contacted by Inter Milan to take misfiring striker Rasmus Hojlund. Ruben Amorim is expecting a clear out with the proceeds from sales expected to be reinvested in the transfer market, with the Red Devils indeed in search of a new striker.
Manchester United are moving rapidly in the transfer market after a disappointing season on all fronts. Ruben Amorim is keen to bolster his squad with quality players despite missing out on UEFA Champions League qualification, and suggestions that there are financial issues due to their absence from European competitions.
While they have tied up a deal for Matheus Cunha, a move for Bryan Mbeumo is in the works, while the club are also looking for a new striker. However, other issues concern the club, as a host of their high-earning loan stars are set to return to the fold such as Antony, Marcus Rashford, and Jadon Sancho.
While Manchester United are eager to sell those three, there are others in the current squad that do not have futures at the club including Rasmus Hojlund. Amorim has already suggested he might be open to selling the misfiring £90,000-a-week struggling mainstay, as there’s sufficient interest coming from Italy, especially from Inter Milan.
Manchester United paid a hefty sum two years ago to sign Hojlund from Atalanta, but the Dane has already green-lit the idea of making a return to Italy. Inter Milan have reportedly made contact with Manchester United over a loan move for the striker, as they are willing to include a £38 million obligation to buy as part of the deal.
Manchester United to sell Rasmus Hojlund?
Inter Milan are set to make their changes after a disastrous season where they missed out on the Serie A title while losing the Champions League final to PSG. The forward department is something that will see the likes of Marko Arnautovic depart, as Hojlund is seen as someone worth investing in the future.
Manchester United are interested in Viktor Gyokeres as a potential replacement for the Dane, and Inter Milan might have an upper hand in the Dane’s chase over their other Italian rivals. Manchester United are eager to offload Hojlund, and might even consider the proposition coming from the Nerazzurri for the £90,000-a-week struggling mainstay.
