Tottenham advancing move for Thomas Frank, confident of sealing deal
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly confident about appointing Brentford boss Thomas Frank as their new manager.
According to an update by reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur are in advanced talks to appoint Thomas Frank as their new manager. The North London club are optimistic about striking a deal to bring the Brentford manager to the club ahead of next season.
Frank served as an assistant manager at Brentford for around two years before taking charge as their manager in 2018. He has done wonders for them over the years. The 51-year-old guided them to the Premier League in 2021, and he has since helped establish them as a mid-table club.
The Danish tactician guided the Bees to a 10th place in the 2024/25 season. Frank has managed them in over 300 matches, and he has earned quite a reputation for his work with the club.
Tottenham pushing for Frank’s appointment
Tottenham are one of the clubs that have taken note of his work and are keen on appointing Thomas Frank as their next boss. The North London club have been linked with the Brentford boss for almost a year now.
While there was uncertainty around Ange Postecoglou’s future throughout last season, Spurs stuck with him, and they did get the reward as he helped them end their trophy drought by guiding them to the Europa League title. But even that was not enough to save his job as they could only manage a 17th-placed finish in the Premier League.
After long-drawn discussions, Daniel Levy finally decided to move on from the Australian manager. While Tottenham have been working on a potential replacement for some time, Spurs finally have stepped up their pursuit.
Spurs are going all out to appoint Thomas Frank as their next manager. Talks with the Brentford boss, who has been on their radar for years, are progressing well, with further discussions expected next week. The North Londoners are confident of landing the 51-year-old as their new head coach.
While he still has two years left on his deal at Brentford and they would be reluctant to let him leave, they are unlikely to stand in his way given what he has done for the club since taking charge back in 2018.
