Manchester United line up €30 million to sign Vanderson
Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of AS Monaco full-back Vanderson.
According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Manchester United are looking to reinforce their backline this summer, and they have their eyes set on Vanderson. The Red Devils are willing to invest around €30 million to bring the AS Monaco sensation to Old Trafford ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Vanderson came up the ranks at Gremio and made a name for himself while playing for their senior side before joining the Ligue 1 giants at the start of 2022. He has since gone from strength to strength while establishing himself as a key figure in the team.
Vanderson’s consistent performances have helped him break into the Brazilian national team as well. The 23-year-old full-back was involved in a total of 41 matches during the 2024/25 season, and he ended up contributing towards seven goals.
The Brazilian full-back’s work has not gone unnoticed, and there are multiple top clubs that want to sign the Brazilian international. Manchester United are one of the clubs that are interested in his services. While the Red Devils do have Diogo Dalot and Amad Diallo who can both feature as right wing-backs, they still seek more quality in that position.

Amad could be used in a more attacking role, and Amorim wants to ensure there is enough quality as well as depth in that position. Manchester United consider Vanderson an ideal fit for his style of play and believe his ability to connect with the attackers could come in handy.
Apart from his range and his technical quality, the fact that he could help them in the short as well as the long run is one of the major reasons why Manchester United are pushing to add him to their squad.
The Red Devils have already established initial contacts as they look to strike a deal in the coming weeks. They are willing to fork out €30 million, a figure that will certainly make the Ligue 1 club consider parting ways with him given their financial situation.
AS Monaco are already preparing for a situation where he ends up leaving. They are looking for potential alternatives to the Brazilian full-back. Meanwhile, people at Old Trafford are working hard to finalise a deal in the near future.
