Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce are reportedly keen on signing 28-year-old Malian midfielder Yves Bissouma from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Turkish outlet Hurriyet, Yves Bissouma is the subject of interest from Fenerbahce. The Turkish Super Lig giants are keen on reinforcing their midfield unit by signing a holding midfielder in the summer transfer window. So, the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has emerged as a target for the Yellow Canaries.

The Turkish giants have launched the offensive to sign the African midfielder in the summer transfer window, submitting a bid to sign him on loan with the option to make the deal permanent next year. Fenerbahce will continue the negotiations with Tottenham regarding Bissouma’s future.

Yves Bissouma has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Tottenham Hotspur from Brighton & Hove Albion in a deal worth €29 million in July 2022. The 28-year-old was among the best midfielders in the Premier League when he arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium three years ago. However, he has not been as consistent as he would have liked during his spell with the North London outfit.

The Malian international has turned out 100 times thus far for Tottenham while chipping in with one goal. However, Bissouma faces an uncertain future at the North London club, with the Lilywhites open to cashing in on him in the summer transfer window. Fenerbahce will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.

Fenerbahce’s interest in Yves Bissouma is understandable. Sofyan Amrabat may not complete a permanent move to the Ulker Stadium Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Sport Complex after his loan deal ends. In addition, Fred is on the wrong side of 30 and approaching the twilight of his career.

So, Fenerbahce can do with a midfielder in the summer transfer window, with Bissouma emerging as a viable target. The Turkish Super Lig giants have proposed a loan move with a purchase option while continuing negotiations with Tottenham over a summer deal.
