Aston Villa poised to submit offer to sign Youssef En-Nesyri
Aston Villa will reportedly look to sign 28-year-old Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri from Turkish club Fenerbahce in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Turkish outlet Milliyet, Youssef En-Nesyri is the subject of interest from Aston Villa. The Villans are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a striker in the summer transfer window. So, the Fenerbahce centre-forward has emerged as a target for the West Midlands club.
The African attacker is also a target for the Saudi Pro League, with Fenerbahce previously courting a bid worth €30 million from a club. However, Aston Villa will aim to beat the competition to En-Nesyri’s signature, and the Villans are set to submit their bid to secure his services.
Youssef En-Nesyri has continued being one of the most prolific strikers in Europe since joining Fenerbahce from Sevilla last summer. The 28-year-old was a productive attacker for Sevilla and has not missed a beat since moving to Turkiye, contributing to 37 goals in 52 appearances across all competitions.
En-Nesyri found the back of the net 30 times and provided seven assists, leading the charge for Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super Lig and other competitions. Meanwhile, the Moroccan striker’s progress in Turkiye has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. Aston Villa will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.
Aston Villa’s interest in Youssef En-Nesyri is understandable. While Ollie Watkins has been a revelation for the West Midlands club, the English international faces an uncertain future at Villa Park.
