Bournemouth reach agreement on personal terms with Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert
AFC Bournemouth have reached an agreement on personal terms with Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert (23), according to Foot Mercato. The Cherries are in the market for a left-back, given Hungary international Milos Kerkez is set to join Liverpool in a €47m deal. Rennes turned down Bournemouth’s initial €12m bid, but the outlet understands that every party is confident a deal can be reached. Truffert will enter his final contract year and Rennes are not opposed to parting ways with their captain in the summer, but at the right price.
The outlet adds that a compromise will eventually be found between Rennes and Bournemouth over a transfer fee ranging between €15m and €20m. Truffert has already agreed on personal terms with Andoni Iraola’s side. The Belgium-born France U23 would be the second full-back to leave Rennes as Les Rouge et Noir are set to sell Lorenz Assignon to VfB Stuttgart. Like most of the Ligue 1 sides without European football, Rennes are expected to trim down their squad before the end of the summer transfer window.
