Arsenal and Chelsea keeping tabs on Bright Ede

Arsenal and Chelsea are among those keeping tabs on Polish teenage defender Bright Ede from Motor Lublin as those teams seek a young defender for the future.

According to Ekrem Konur, Polish defender Bright Ede has been attracting big interest from some of the top clubs, with Arsenal and Chelsea keen. The Premier League duo are keen on adding a project defender for the future of their squad, as the Motor Lublin star is certainly one of those who fit the bill.

Polish first-tier side Motor Lublin are bracing for offers coming in for their teenage defender Bright Ede. The teenager has played for the first team six times in the league last season, as many at the club are keen to see what he has in store in the seasons to come.

The left-footed defender has been tipped to make it as one of the top-rated centre-backs of the future, and possibly an established Polish international in the years to come. However, his future is likely to be away from Motor Lublin, as the club are bracing for a league-record bid in the coming period.

There’s sufficient interest from the Premier League as Arsenal and Chelsea are among those monitoring his situation. The 18-year-old Polish defensive prodigy has a contract until 2026 with a club option of another year, as the defender is reportedly valued at over €11 million as per Ekrem Konur.

Arsenal are keen on signing a young defender in the summer either as a cover for their existing first-choice stars or the future. Valencia star Cristhian Mosquera was a target, but the defender is leaning towards a move to RB Leipzig. They are in the market for more players, specifically for the left side of their defence, particularly if the much-improved Jakub Kiwior leaves, as they are also keen on Jorrel Hato.

Are Chelsea in a strong position for Bright Ede?

Chelsea could be in a stronger position than Arsenal for Bright Ede, as they could offer a clear pathway for the Motor Lublin star. The Blues want to sign him and send him to sister club Strasbourg, as the French side are set to lose Mamadou Sarr, as the defender is set to join Chelsea on a permanent deal.

Coming through the competition and making his mark at Strasbourg could be a wiser choice for Bright Ede as he looks to soak in the big prospect of top-level European football. It remains to be seen which of Chelsea and Arsenal make the move for the 18-year-old Polish defensive prodigy in the summer, as joining either of those teams will be a big decision for the teenage defender.
