Fulham will reportedly look to sign 27-year-old Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri from Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Turkish outlet Fotomac, Youssef En-Nesyri is the subject of interest from Fulham. The Cottagers are scouring the market for a striker heading into the summer transfer window due to Raul Jimenez’s advancing age and Rodrigo Muniz’s recent injury. So, they have set their sights on the 27-year-old Fenerbahce centre-forward
Youssef En-Nesyri and his fruitful Fenerbahce spell
Youssef En-Nesyri has been one of the most productive strikers in Europe in the last few seasons. The African attacker rose in prominence during his spell with CD Leganes before seeing his stock skyrocket in his four-year stint with Sevilla. He was also instrumental in Morocco’s run to the 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-finals.
The 27-year-old has been exceptional since joining Fenerbahce from Sevilla last summer, continuing his productive output. En-Nesyri has contributed to 34 goals in 49 appearances across all competitions, finding the back of the net 27 times while providing seven assists.
Meanwhile, En-Nesyri’s progress at Fenerbahce has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. Premier League outfits, in particular, are keen on signing the Moroccan international, with Fulham among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.
London calling?
Fulham’s interest in Youssef En-Nesyri is understandable. The Cottagers are scouring the market for a striker heading into the summer transfer window. Rodrigo Muniz is on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury, while Raul Jimenez is on the wrong side of 30 and approaching the twilight of his career.
In addition, Carlos Vinicius will likely depart from Craven Cottage in the summer transfer window. So, several candidates, including Timo Werner, have emerged on Fulham’s radar, with En-Nesyri also a viable target for the West London outfit. However, it will be surprising if the Cottagers have a straightforward run at the African attacker.
While the 27-year-old Moroccan international is reportedly ready to leave Fenerbahce, the prolific striker is a target for several well-known clubs. So, it will be interesting to see if Fulham can beat the competition to En-Nesyri’s signature in the summer transfer window.
