Chelsea, Tottenham run rule over Clement Bischoff
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur scout Brondby IF teenage attacking sensation Clement Bischoff ahead of a potential move.
According to a report from Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Clement Bischoff could be heading to the Premier League in the near future as a host of top clubs are keen on signing him. While Brighton failed to secure his services in January, Chelsea and Tottenham have emerged as potential destinations for the Danish youth international.
Bischoff joined Brøndby at the start of 2022 and quickly rose through the ranks, earning a promotion to the first team at the beginning of 2024. He has certainly gone from strength to strength over the last 18 months.
While the teenager prefers playing as a left winger, he can pretty much start in any role on the left flank. The 19-year-old has been in sensational form this season. He has been involved in a total of 38 matches and the majority of those appearances have come as a left wing-back.
Bischoff has managed to contribute towards 12 goals (2 goals, 10 assists), and his impressive performances have not gone unnoticed. Brighton & Hove Albion were keen on signing him during the winter transfer window and had agreed a deal worth £6 million with the Danish club.
Chelsea and Tottenham are keen on signing Bischoff
The move to Brighton eventually collapsed as they failed to reach an agreement with the 19-year-old. While the Seagulls remain keen on his signature, they could face competition from Chelsea and Tottenham, who are both closely monitoring his progress.
Their scouts have been spotted in stands watching the versatile teenager in action since the Danish season resumed back in March. Both clubs are quite impressed with his rise, and they are keen on investing in him thanks to his massive potential.
The North London club have made it a priority to sign young talents in recent seasons, and Bischoff could be a valuable addition to their squad. His versatility on the left flank would offer them significant tactical flexibility.
Meanwhile, Chelsea also view him as a strong fit for their youth-focused project, which centres around recruiting the best emerging talent. While Bischoff may not be ready for a key role just yet, he could provide much-needed depth and quality out wide on the left.
