Predicted Barcelona lineup against Real Madrid: Ferran Torres up front; ter Stegen in contention

Ferran Torres will lead the line for Barcelona against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final at Estadio de la Cartuja on Saturday.

Barcelona will aim to clinch a record-extending 32nd Copa del Rey title when they lock horns with Real Madrid at Estadio de la Cartuja on Saturday night. Hansi Flick has greeted a positive update on the team news front ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is fit and available after completing his long battle to recover from a knee injury. The German international is in the travelling squad to take on Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final this weekend.

However, Alejandro Balde, Marc Casado, Marc Bernal, and Robert Lewandowski remain on the sidelines. Meanwhile, during his pre-match press conference, Flick discussed Lewandowski’s absence and the player who would replace the veteran Polish striker.

The Barcelona manager said, “He [Ferran Torres] has already shown how well he plays there, against Betis, against Valencia in the Copa. It’s a good position for him. Lewandowski is not playing, it doesn’t affect Lamine or Raphinha in the way they play.”

Meanwhile, Balde’s absence has compelled Flick to constantly think about who deputises for the Spanish international in the left-back berth. Commenting on the situation ahead of the final, the German tactician said, “Gerard Martin? We’ll see tomorrow.”

Gerard Martin will deputise for Balde in the left-back berth, lining up alongside Inigo Martinez, Pau Cubarsi, and Jules Kounde in the backline. Meanwhile, Wojciech Szczesny will take his spot between the sticks, even though Marc-Andre ter Stegen is fit and available. Barcelona will line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation in front of the Polish goalkeeper.

As for the midfield unit, Frenkie de Jong and Pedri will pair up in the double pivot, with Fermin Lopez reprising the no. 10 role. Raphinha and Lamine Yamal are automatic picks on the flanks, while Ferran Torres will complete the numbers in the final third, leading the line for the Blaugrana against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday.

Predicted Barcelona XI: Szczesny; Kounde, Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez, Martin; de Jong, Pedri; Yamal, Fermin Lopez, Raphinha; Torres
