Tottenham line up €60 million move for Antoine Semenyo

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Bournemouth attacking mainstay Antoine Semenyo.

According to a report from Fichajes, Tottenham are looking to reinforce their attack ahead of next season and they have their eyes set on Antoine Semenyo, who has been doing wonders for Bournemouth of late. The North London club consider him an ideal fit for their system and are willing to make a significant investment to sign him.

Semenyo hasn’t looked back since making the jump from the Championship to the Premier League. He joined the Cherries from Bristol City at the start of 2023 and has since gone on to establish himself as a key figure in their first-team.

Antoine Semenyo is enjoying another impressive season at Bournemouth. The 25-year-old winger has featured in a total of 37 matches and has contributed towards 16 goals. He has been one of the most influential attackers in the English top flight outside of the traditional top six.

While he prefers playing as a left-winger, Semenyo is capable enough to feature in any role on either flank and can even chip in as a striker when needed. His consistent performances and his ability to unravel defences have put him on the radar of quite a few top clubs.

Tottenham could push hard for Semenyo

Tottenham are one of the clubs that seem to be quite interested in signing Antoine Semenyo. The North London club have been struggling for the majority of the ongoing season. They will look to make quite a few changes to their squad in the summer to ensure they can bounce back.

With Timo Werner and Richarlison’s future uncertain, they do need to add more firepower to their attack. They need to bring in a top quality wide player and Semenyo seems to fit the bill. They believe his profile aligns perfectly with what the coaching staff is seeking.

His versatility and instinctive goal-scoring ability make him a valuable asset. He could certainly help Ange Postecoglou’s team but signing him won’t be that easy as Bournemouth want around €60 million. While the asking price may appear slightly steep, it accurately reflects his value in today’s market. Meanwhile, Spurs could even face competition from Manchester United, who have also been linked with him of late.
