Manchester United will reportedly look to sign 24-year-old German international Yann Bisseck from Serie A club Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Yann Bisseck is the subject of interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils are scouring the market for a centre-back heading into the summer transfer window and have set their sights on the Inter Milan defender. They are mulling over coughing up €60 million to sign the German international from the Serie A club.

The soaring stock of Yann Bisseck

Yann Bisseck has established himself as one of the best young defensive prospects in Serie A since joining Inter Milan from Aarhus GF in July 2023. The highly-rated centre-back has gradually risen in stature at San Siro, having not been an undisputed first-choice starter for the Nerazzurri in the last two years.

The 24-year-old has turned out over 50 times thus far for Inter Milan while chipping in with four goals and five assists. In addition, Bisseck’s exploits for Inter Milan have helped him break into his national side, with the player making his senior bow for Germany in last month’s international break.

Meanwhile, Bisseck’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. Premier League outfits, in particular, have shown interest in the German international, with Manchester United among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.

Manchester United’s interest in Yann Bisseck is somewhat surprising. The Premier League club should ideally focus on reinforcing other positions in the summer transfer window, and they urgently need a new striker, central midfielder and right wing-back. In addition, Noussair Mazraoui’s versaitlity and Ayden Heaven’s advent have alleviated the need for a centre-back.

Nevertheless, several central defenders, including Jarrad Branthwaite, are on Manchester United’s radar, with Bisseck also emerging as a target. The Red Devils are mulling over forking out €60 million to sign the Inter Milan centre-back in the summer transfer window.

It is unclear if a bid worth €60 million will be enough for Manchester United to convince Inter Milan to part ways with Bisseck.
