Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United scout Hugo Ekitike, Hugo Larsson, Nathaniel Brown

Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle United reportedly sent scouts to watch Hugo Ekitike, Hugo Larsson, and Nathaniel Brown in the UEFA Europa League earlier this week.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Hugo Ekitike, Hugo Larsson, and Nathaniel Brown have a blooming market in the Premier League. Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United dispatched scouts to watch the three Eintracht Frankfurt stars in the UEFA Europa League clash with Tottenham Hotspur earlier this week.

The rising stock of the Eintracht Frankfurt trio

Hugo Ekitike has transformed into one of the most productive strikers in the Bundesliga since joining Eintracht Frankfurt from Paris Saint-Germain. The Frenchman’s progress started stuttering after moving to PSG. However, he has not looked back since arriving at the Deutsche Bank Park. The youngster has amassed 21 goals and nine assists in 43 appearances across all competitions this term.

Nathaniel Brown has been with Die Adler since January 2024, initially completing a loan move before sealing a permanent deal in the subsequent summer transfer window. As for Hugo Larsson, the Swede has been with the Bundesliga club since July 2023, coming leaps and bounds in the last two seasons. The trio’s exploits have not gone unnoticed, alerting several high-profile clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle United.

Men in demand

Arsenal should be busy in the market in the summer transfer window, and they want to sign a striker, a midfielder, and a versatile full-back. So, the Eintracht Frankfurt players have emerged as viable targets for the North London club. Arsenal, along with Liverpool and Newcastle United, sent scouts to watch the trio in the UEFA Europa League clash with Tottenham Hotspur this week.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s interest in Hugo Ekitike, Hugo Larsson, and Nathaniel Brown. Andrew Robertson is getting by, compelling Arne Slot to demand a new left-back. In addition, with Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez blowing hot and cold in the final third, the Reds need a new striker. Finally, Slot wants a new midfielder amid uncertainties surrounding Wataru Endo’s long-term future.

As for Newcastle United, with Bruno Guimaraes being highly sought-after, the Magpies must sign an alternative if he departs in the coming years. They need a similar strategy to plan for life after Alexander Isak amid his links with European bigwigs. However, it is unclear why Newcastle United want a new left-back after Lewis Hall’s advent.

Nevertheless, Hugo Ekitike, Hugo Larsson, and Nathaniel Brown were the targets for Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle United when they scouted the Eintracht Frankfurt trio against Tottenham. It will be interesting to see if they leave the Bundesliga club to move to the Premier League in the coming months.
