Dean Huijsen wants Premier League stay amid transfer links

According to a report from talkSPORT, Dean Huijsen is all set to part ways with Bournemouth this summer. His performances earned him a spot in the Spanish national team and have placed him on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in world football. While his contract at Bournemouth runs until 2030, his departure is almost certain.

The Cherries secured his services for a bargain fee of just £16 million, and they are all set to make a significant profit on him, thanks to his £50 million release clause. Thanks to the massive potential of Dean Huijsen, all interested clubs are willing to trigger the clause.

Real Madrid are one of the clubs that have been linked with the 20-year-old. Los Blancos’ lack of depth at the back has been exposed on quite a few occasions over the last few seasons, and they certainly need to add more depth to their backline.

Huijsen to continue in England

While Real Madrid are keen on signing Dean Huijsen, the Spanish giants are unlikely to win the race for his signature as he is set to remain in the Premier League amidst interest from some of the biggest clubs in the country. Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea are all keen on signing him and have already held talks with the young centre-back’s representatives.

Virgil van Dijk is extending his stay at Liverpool, but they are looking to add a young centre-back to their squad. Someone who can take over from the Dutch international in a few years. Huijsen’s arrival could facilitate Jarell Quansah’s departure amid his links with Newcastle United.

The 20-year-old is considered a perfect fit for Chelsea’s project that targets the best young players in the world. Enzo Maresca is looking for a new centre-back who can feature on both sides, and Huijsen can certainly help his cause.

Meanwhile, Arsenal already have quality options in the heart of the defence, but Mikel Arteta seems keen on adding more depth and quality. The Bournemouth defender could challenge William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes for a place in the starting XI. However, he might not receive the desired game time at the North London club, something other interested sides could be in a better position to offer.
