Inter Miami eyeing Kevin De Bruyne swoop

MLS high-flyers Inter Miami have reportedly stepped up their interest in the services of Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne.

According to a report from the Daily Mirror, Inter Miami are keen on adding more firepower to their squad, and they have stepped up their efforts to sign Kevin De Bruyne, who will be available for free this summer. The David Beckham-owned Major League Soccer club are preparing a contract offer for the Manchester City attacking midfielder.

De Bruyne is all set to part ways with the Premier League giants after the end of the ongoing season. The Belgian international won it all during his decade-long stint at the Manchester-based club, and he is now gearing up for another chapter in his life.

Following Manchester City’s decision not to offer him a new deal and let him leave for free, clubs have already begun laying the groundwork to sign the 33-year-old attacking midfielder, who still has a few good years left in him. While he hasn’t been at his best of late and has struggled with injuries, De Bruyne could still be a handy signing for any club in the world.

Inter Miami want to add De Bruyne to their squad

Inter Miami could be a potential destination for the Manchester City star. The David Beckham-owned club have been closely monitoring his situation. They have decided to step up their interest in him ever since he made it known that he will be leaving Pep Guardiola’s team this summer.

Beckham and the Mas brothers are ready to offer the 33-year-old a deal to move to America. But signing the veteran playmaker won’t be easy as there is significant interest in his services from the Middle East. Saudi Pro League clubs wanted to sign him last summer, and they could return for his signature this time as well.

While Saudi Arabian clubs have the financial strength to offer him wages worth around £400,000 per week, Inter Miami do have a boost in their pursuit as relocating to the United States and Miami, in particular, is appealing for the 33-year-old and his young family.

The MLS could believe that bringing in De Bruyne could do wonders for them as it will bolster their squad and the status of the team as well as the league. Messi and De Bruyne in the same team could be a cheat code for success. Since he will soon turn 34, he certainly has a massive decision to make, as this could be the final big contract of his long and glittering career.
