Predicted Liverpool lineup against Everton: Bradley to return; Alisson in for Kelleher
Alisson Becker and Conor Bradley will return to the Liverpool starting lineup against Everton at Anfield on Wednesday.
Liverpool will aim to return to winning ways and put a forgettable run of form behind them when they welcome Everton to Anfield on Wednesday night. Arne Slot has greeted positive updates on the team news front ahead of his side’s latest fixture.
The home side will welcome back the likes of Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley, who have resumed training following their injury layoffs. Alisson Becker and Ryan Gravenberch have been declared fit for the derby as well. So, Trent Alexander-Arnold is the only player on the sidelines.
, “Ryan is OK, although we have to train one more time, but he is OK. Ali trained with us as well. The last check has to be made, I think that’s this afternoon after the session, [to determine] if he is available to play.
“Conor is training with us again, but we have to make a decision on whether he is playing and if playing means coming in or starting. That’s something I keep for myself. But he’s only had a few sessions after being out for quite long with a repetitive injury so we have to make a smart decision with that as well.”
Liverpool had a difficult few days prior to the international break, and they crashed out of the UEFA Champions League while losing the EFL Cup final to Newcastle United. They will look to bounce back strongly after a well-deserved break and finish the season strongly.
The home side will shape up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Alisson Becker in goal. Conor Bradley and Andrew Roberston will look to contribute at both ends of the pitch from the full-back areas. Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk will start at the heart of the defence.
As for the midfield unit, Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch will add creativity, control and defensive cover to the side. Dominik Szoboszlai will help out in the attack when he reprises the no. 10 role. Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo will start on the flanks, with Diogo Jota leading the line.
Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Bradley, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Jota
