La Liga deal Barcelona blow in putting a stop to Vitor Roque’s permanent sale
La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday been dealt a potentially significant blow on the financial front.
This comes amid confirmation that the powers that be in Spanish football have halted Vitor Roque’s permanent departure.
The name of frontman Roque has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines across Spain over the course of the last 24 hours.
This comes after word was forthcoming that Barcelona had reached an agreement with their counterparts at Brazilian outfit Palmeiras, to sell the 19-year-old with immediate effect.
Though details remained to be sorted with Real Betis – where Roque is currently on loan – hope was growing that a final deal would be put in place ahead of the upcoming Brazilian transfer deadline.
Any such deal would see cash-strapped Barca secure a timely injection in the region of €25 million.

Agreement done with Barcelona for €25m transfer fee plus 20% sell-on clause.
But there’s still some work to do on Real Betis side as loan included buy option and Betis have final say, waiting on green light.
The latest word stemming from the media on Monday evening will, in turn, no doubt come as a major source of concern for all at the Camp Nou.
As per a report from Blaugrana insider Gerard Romero of Jijantes:
‘The Vitor Roque operation has been paralyzed due to legal issues. The Federation and the League do not authorize the operation.’
